Stanley Rule and Level Company

From Galoot-o-pedia
Jump to: navigation, search

The Stanley Rule and Level Co. merged with The Stanley Works in 1920[1].

Over the years, Stanley acquired other manufacturers, expanding the company's catalog and eliminating competition.

Stanley is best known for their broad range of planes, including the Bailey and Bedrock bench planes, and the combination planes such as the No. 45 and No. 55. Patrick Leach has published one of the most exhaustive descriptions of Stanley planes, Patrick's Blood and Gore.
